Auto-Expand is the feature where EA will create specified number of orders when auto-expand is triggered.

There are 2 ways where Auto-Expand will be triggered: Dynamic Auto-Expand (All Orders) and Dynamic Auto-Expand by Threshold.

Dynamic Auto-Expand (All Orders)
If we set Placing Order Type as this option, Auto-Expand will be triggered when the very last pending order is executed.

For simpler example, we have initially set Order Count as 5 and Grid Auto-Expand Count (each side) as 3. EA initially will place 10 pending orders, 5 on upper side, and 5 on lower side. The price then move down (No. 2) and up, until the very last pending order is executed (No. 3 in red line). At this point, EA will add 3 more orders on the upper side, and 3 more orders on the lower side.

Dynamic Auto-Expand by Threshold
If we set Placing Order Type as this option, Auto-Expand will be triggered when the price touches Auto-Expand threshold line.

For simpler example, we have initially set Order Count as 5 and Auto-Expand Threshold (Points) as 100, assuming the current broker is using 5 digits currency unit. EA initially will place 10 pending orders, 5 on upper side, and 5 on lower side, and calculates the Auto-Expand Threshold line which is calculated from the most outer order in grid to the inside (yellow dashed line). The price then move down (No. 2) and up, until it touches the Auto-Expand Threshold line (No. 3). At this point, EA will add 3 more orders on the upper side (blue line), and 3 more orders on the lower side (blue line).
